Chocolate Dipped Pretzel Rods

By

Tis the season y’all! Catch me making allllllll the Christmas treats at this time of year. I’ll usually do fudge, molasses cookies, peppermint meringues, etc. But this treat is so easy to make, and much cheaper than buying chocolate dipped pretzel rods from the store. My chocolate dipping hack is to take your chocolate (almond bark p.s. why is it called that?), roughly chop it, set on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper, and let the chocolate melt into a puddle in the oven on low (150° or so and check on it every couple minutes). Then, take your pretzel rod and horizontally coat in the chocolate puddle. Then, set to dry on a different parchment paper. That’s it! Of course, that’s not fun to stop there. I like to do milk chocolate and white chocolate, with drizzling of each on the other. Jujj it up even more with a few Christmas sprinkles, and you’ve got an adorable festive treat! These are yummy and fun to stir your cup of hot cocoa with.

When you go buy your ingredients, don’t buy them online and get them shipped to you because there’s a good chance most rods will be broken. I learned this the hard way lol. Honestly though, even if some are broken, coat them anyway and make minis. I like using Target’s brans “favorite day” chocolate and sprinkles because they were pretty affordable, and I got them via drive-up without needing to go in the store, so of course Ima do that. You mean I don’t have to put a bra on to get my groceries? Say less.

I’ve linked below a few tools I recommend if you want to make this recipe. These include a good cookie sheet and quality parchment paper.
